Rainbow-Bridge-3Our Angels at Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…

We are sad to share that on July 6, 2021, Gracie – a beloved favorite and fixture at Purrfect Solutions – went on to Rainbow Bridge. Granny Pat’s heart is broken. Gracie was 16 years old, and Pat’s personal kitty companion all these years.

Sending our love to Diane Rudnick Mann who lost her kitty Miles after 17 years with her sweet boy.

Lilly was adopted by her new mommy Pauline Marasek in 2019, knowing that she had Leukemia, a heartbreaking and fatal diagnosis. Pauline then adopted Lilly’s love, Lucas, to be with her until the end. Lilly’s short life was spent well, with constant companionship, endless love and fresh air from her cateo access. Her mom did everything to save her and to experience the best life she could have hoped for. Lilly went to Rainbow Bridge in April of 2020.

Beauty was diagnosed with lymphoma and sadly passed away on August 24, 2019. She was dearly loved by her brother, Beast, and her mother, Friné. You will live on in our hearts forever, little Beauty.

Dunkin Trachtenoff came into this world on April 15th, 2015 and left far too soon due to complications from a congenital heart defect. During his time here he enjoyed playing with his older brother, Tesla, and being chased by his baby sister, Sophia. He also loved chewing on plastic, sleeping in boxes and getting a thorough underchin scratching. He had crystalline blue eyes, the softest fur you’ll ever find and the sweetest most plaintive meow you’ll ever hear. A gentle soul and forever curious, Dunkin showed affection toward everyone (and everything) he met – except maybe that cockroach that one time. We had hoped he would share his loving attention with our baby coming in October because, in addition to his other qualities, he had a special affinity toward children. Words cannot adequately express the sadness we feel with Dunkin’s passing, but we take comfort knowing he is no longer suffering. Breathe easy, jump high and run far, sweet boy – we love you always.

Our faithful volunteer, Rachael, had to say goodbye to the love of her life, O’Ryan on March 25th, 2018. He was 17 years old.

O’Ryan came to PSFR as a kitten and immediately stole Rachael’s heart with his sweetness. The PSFR family shares in her grief for the loss of this handsome boy.

On November 20, 2017, our dear volunteer, Gabby, lost her sweet boy, Tigger. He was 16 years old and the love of her life.

Our volunteer, Judy, lost her sweet angel, Chelsea, on September 21, 2017. Chelsea brought so much joy to Judy’s life and was loved dearly.

Willow passed away on Sunday, June 25th. She was a little more than six months old.

A beautiful Torbie, Willow arrived at PSFR on March 10th, 2017 with her brother, Wylie. They were rescued from Craigslist.

Just three months into her stay at PSFR, we found out Willow was suffering from dry FIP, a fatal disease. Pat and her team of volunteers were devastated but they know Willow is no longer suffering.

Rest In Peace, sweet angel. We will miss you.

On March 7th, Pat lost her boy, Breeze. He was 17.

Breeze suffered from an abscessed tooth as well as a massive tumor stemming from his cheek bone. Sadly, he was too old to be tested and treated for cancer. Thus, Pat made the very tough decision to say goodbye.

Breeze slept on Pat’s bed for nearly two decades and had a wonderful life at PSFR with his pals. Pat and all of the volunteers will miss him terribly. RIP, Breeze.

Peaches & Butterscotch

Our dear volunteer, Dr. Bob, lost Peaches and Butterscotch just a few months apart. He always went the extra mile to ensure they had the best medical care, no matter the expense. Dr. Bob will miss them snuggling in his bed every night. Rest in peace, sweet Peaches and Butterscotch.

Our angel, Ringo, passed away February 13th. He was 17.

Ringo was just a baby when he first came to Purrfect Solutions. He had a loving home for four years but sadly, his owner was forced to return him after housing complications.

Ringo held a special place in everyone’s hearts and we will miss him dearly. Rest in peace, sweet boy.

Emo Shane Langlois crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Sunday, October 9, 2016.  His owners adopted him and his friend, Chester in July 2005 from Purrfect Solutions.  He was diagnosed with CKD in 2011.  Emo was a wonderful cat who brought so much love and joy into his family’s lives, and they will miss him very much.

Ed & Donna Vodicka lost their sweet boy, Hamlin, on January 12, 2017. He had such a big, loving heart, but it finally wore out. He was their miracle kitty for the last year and a half. And, after 5 years, he finally gets to run and play and snuggle with his sister, Mason (see her posting below). “We will always love and miss you,  Hammy.”

Honey girl, 20, left for Rainbow Bridge April 19, 2016. She faded fast, suffering from a heart condition and kidney issues. Honey was the mother of Buffy and Clooney. Though she wasn’t so loving as a younger cat, she grew to be a sweet, affectionate girl who loved to give headbutts. Pat and the rest of the Purrfect Solutions family will never forget their Honey girl nor her beautiful green eyes.

HoneyHoney girlHoney and Buffy

Buffy, daughter of Honey and sister to Clooney, went to Rainbow Bridge just five days after her mother – April 24, 2016. She passed away in Pat’s arms after battling illness for many years. Buffy was one tough cookie and held on for longer than the Purrfect Solutions family expected. She was a sweetheart with a beautiful and long fawn coat and gorgeous green eyes (just like her mother). Buffy will be missed terribly.

Our boy, Clooney, went to Rainbow Bridge on December 12, 2015. He was roughly 16 years old and suffered from cancer. Clooney was the brother of Buffy and son of Honey. His loss was unexpected to both Pat and the volunteers. Clooney was a beautiful cat and will be sorely missed among the Purrfect Solutions family.

Lisa Reddick’s sweet boy passed on to Rainbow Bridge. He was 19 years old and will be missed terribly.

Mozzie went to Rainbow Bridge the evening of May 19th, 2015. Mozzie was loved by Thom Tran and kitty sister Gouda. Mozzie was diagnosed with FIP and was loved until the very end. We are all heartbroken at the loss.

About four years ago, Thea and her dog Bennie took Sassy home and named her Loulu. She became the love in the home. On Tuesday, January 20, Loulu went to Rainbow Bridge after her kidneys failed her. She passed in her own home, free from pain. Her family is truly heartbroken over losing her at such a young age. She will truly be missed.

Our dear volunteer Gabby just lost her beautiful kitty, Haley. She was 20 years old and was a magnificent angel. She leaves behind her buddy, Tigger. Our hearts are with you, Gabby.

Holly took us all by surprise. She lived a good life with Pat for a few years in the main house, despite a rough start in life. You could typically find her perched on a comfy pillow somewhere, away from the herd, enjoying her solitude and rest. She fought through a barrage of illnesses too long to mention and in the end, succumbed very rapidly to a brand new one. She passed on to Rainbow Bridge on September 3, 2014. We miss her tiny frame and her not so tiny meow when Pat was hand-serving her chicken.

Simba went to Rainbow Bridge on Friday, August 1st, 2014. He was 17 years old. Pat’s loss of Simba was very heartbreaking, as he slept on her bed for 14 years…quite the snuggler.

This past Thursday (7/24/14) Clancy joined his brother Zorro at Rainbow Bridge…after 14 years with Pat at Purrfect Solutions. Despite all efforts he remained quite feral and never warmed up to humans, but Pat and the volunteers will miss him terribly. He was a fixture in the cattery for so long…we all enjoyed cooing at him from a distance and sneaking him treats.

Merlin - 18 years

Merlin went to Rainbow Bridge June 2014 at the ripe age of 18. This beautiful boy was adopted from us by Beverly and Graham many years ago. He leaves behind his two pals, Pendragon and Galahad.

Tuesday | 2003-2014

Tuesday, our little girl with us since July 2003, left us to join her friends at Rainbow bridge on Monday, June 2nd. She came to us at 7 weeks of age and decided she liked it here, so she hissed at anyone who tried to take her home.

We loved her anyway. She was loved, brushed and petted. We will miss her terribly, as will her best buddy Gypsy.

Tuesday could never be found more than a few steps away from Gypsy.

Kizzy Kizzy

Our sweet Summer passed on to Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was a resident at the rescue for 12 years…she will be missed by Pat, her kitty friends, and the volunteers.

Loved and missed by her mom Allyson and her kitty companion Daisy.

A broken hearted Fiona lost her little boy Banjo at the young age of seven. He died of heart complications. He will be missed dearly by his owner…as well as his kitty companion Henry.

Boo Boo

After 19 1/2 years and through 2 generations of children, the Deitch Family lost their kitty Boo Boo. She gave them many great years of joy and happiness. Simba, her companion kitty… misses her terribly.

GraceGrace (aka Momma Kitty)

Grace was diagnosed with cancer and lost her battle late this summer (2012). Purrfect Solutions remembers Grace as Momma Kitty. She weighed 4/12 pounds and had just given birth to three kittens. She and her kittens were dying from upper respiratory disease, was filthy and the vet said she wouldn’t live long. Eleven years ago, she was saved by Purrfect Solutions and was adopted by Denise.

Gracie gave Denise eleven of the happiest years of her life. She was the most loyal, friendly loving kitty ever, and gave her owner more joy and happiness that thought possible. Every morning she met Denise in the hall, rolled over on her belly for tickles.

She is in Denise’s thoughts every day.

Miss Beeker, four years old, passed away on September 30, 2012 of Anaphylactic Shock. She was Allyson Thurber’s baby girl, one of Purrfect Solution’s volunteers. Allyson adopted Purdy, now known as Daisy. Beeker and Daisy were the best of pals.

Beeker will be missed by all, and will join all of our angels at Rainbow Bridge.

Mica was a baby kitten when Kristin Enriquez rescued him on Labor Day 2007 from the Hollywood Bowl catering area. She brought him to Purrfect Solutions the same day and ended up adopting him a few weeks later. Sadly, on July 26, 2012, he passed away suddenly of what had been an unknown heart condition. Our deepest condolences go out to Kristin and to all who loved Mica.

Zorro went to Rainbow Bridge April 2012. He was a fixture for many years in the cattery and was loved deeply by each and every volunteer at Purrfect Solutions. Zorro will be missed by all of us…always in our hearts.

Mason and her brother, Hamlin, (Yoko and Kim) were adopted from Purrfect Solutions on July 7, 2003 at about 9 weeks old.

They were inseparable until Mason went to Rainbow Bridge on November 26, 2011.

She was a beautiful, inquisitive, intuitive calico who loved to have adventures (inside and outside –even in the rain) and food was her passion!

She is missed every day by Hamlin, Ed and Donna.

Loved & Missed, kitty of Lori Weintraub, wonderful friend and volunteer at Purrfect Solutions. Thank-you Dr Tracy McFarland for helping her cross over to rainbow bridge. 1998-JAN 31,2012

Noira was a georgeous, sweet, full of life Black Maine Coon about 3 years of age. She became ill, was misdiagnosed by his vet, and passed away during surgery. She is loved and missed by Lui Domingo and Jean Gris.

Nora Noira

Beautiful Isis 18 years of age who moved to Orlando Florida two years ago with her pal Bandit and her loving owner Andy, went to Rainbow Bridge October 11th. She was diagnosed with cancer and other non-curable issues.

Our Chan went to Rainbow Bridge to be with his friend Red on October 5th. Here he is, perched by the pool…one of his favorite places to sun himself.
